"Human rights without discrimination are not a given, and it has been necessary to fight for all milestones that have been reached. There always seem to be forces that see the human rights struggles of others as a threat to their own rights. That is a serious misconception. We should all, as a society, fight for human rights for all of us. It is the fundamental right of every person to be free to live and love."
Katrín Jakobsdóttir, Prime Minister, August 10, 2023
“Trans rights are human rights!” Transactivists’ #1 selling point is that the demand for "trans rights" is the human rights struggle of our times. Most people are in favor of trans rights – assuming something similar to same-sex marriage and women's franchise is being demanded. That trans people be allowed to live full lives, free from discrimination, harassment and violence and to express themselves as they wish (although freedom of expression is well on its way to becoming yet another trans privilege).
Such goals are worthy but they are not what mainstream transactivism is about. It is not about demanding human rights for trans people – who already have all the rights that other citizens enjoy and then some – but privileges and special rights at the expense of other citizens.
Genuine civil rights movements have always demanded extending privileges unjustly hoarded by a favored group to marginalized ones. Gender self-identification or demanding that self-declared “gender identity” be allowed to override sex – a privilege for a small but powerful social group imposed on the nation by the Prime Minister and her transkangaroo cabal – is a demand for validation by others. As Helen Joyce puts it, “it is actually about requiring others to identify you as a member of the sex you proclaim.” It’s about demanding that everyone recognizes the feelings and opinions of trans people as an objective reality.*
"Trans" has more to do with Tomás de Torquemada's Inquisition Tribunal than Martin Luther King's human rights struggle. "Trans" is the new Icelandic national church, a state religion with high priests, rituals (sexual mutilation and sterilization) financed with tax monies, trans blasphemy laws and punishments by the TransInquisition for violating them.
All humans are either male or female; either heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual. Believing or feeling that you are the opposite sex is just that: a belief, a feeling. You and I have no human rights that “transgender” people do not have. On the other hand, “transgender” people enjoy special rights that the state has granted them on the basis of their feelings and beliefs.
The government does not falsify legal documents for other citizens, nor does it pay for any cosmetic/plastic surgery they want done. The state does not waste public tax money on public relations for other religious sects. Only Iceland’s Lutheran State Church and the TransChurch enjoy such privileges. Only transactivists get to wallpaper public property with rainbows, unicorn farts and flags and send taxpayers the bill.
The powerful transactivist lobby has successfully silenced anyone who doesn’t support gender ideology. It far outnumbers the trans people it purports to speak for and serves their interests very poorly. Most people are in the dark about what the transactivist lobby is demanding. Its overreach, once the public finally realizes what’s being demanded, is likely to provoke a backlash that will harm ordinary trans people and gays and lesbians, who simply want the same thing as all other citizens, "to be free to live and love.”
"Trans" – the explanatory draft accompanying the bill that became law no. 80/2019 on Gender Self-Identification uses the word 102 times without a definition – is neither a persecuted minority group nor an exhilarating "gender identity."
Trans is a deluxe citizenship that authorizes the holders to force lower-class citizens to lie, endure sexual degradation in all areas of society, to browbeat them into adopting newspeak and neologisms, and to have them punished for insults, real or imagined, to their hallowed trans feelings.

Great writing and very informative. The trans lobby in the States is equally scary. They are not to be questioned.
What is worse is the medical profession in the States, some of whom seem to see trans youth as long-term investment opportunities. Since these young people have committed themselves to lifelong and expensive medical procedures.
Hopefully the tide will turn soon. Having men cheat by competing in womens sports and how hard they've gone after kids has opened the eyes of many people who were either unaware or just didn't care.
