Thank you for this wonderful article, though heartbreaking to read that the "great silencing" is happening as much in Iceland as here in the U.S. and elsewhere. It is truly frightening, that an extremely obsessed group of men and their captured, guilt-tripped devotees can have people of almost every profession and at every level of government in many countries terrified into silence, while demanding the most horrible physical abuses of cutting off breasts, genitals, and other reproductive organs, while poisoning their targets with dangerous hormones.

Every article such as yours helps wake people up and gives both validation of the problem and analysis of it, and hope to those of us working to end this travesty, that you and others are seeing and speaking up about this problem also.

Thank you so much. It means so much to hear from people (especially when my colleagues back home tell me I'm the most hated woman in the country!). But journalism isn't and shouldn't be a popularity club! The way it works in Iceland is that a writer is lucky to get MAYBE 1-2 articles a year criticizing the Trans Church. The next day, "Trans Iceland" gets a half hour interview on the Icelandic "BBC" - The National Icelandic Radio - radio of all (or rather SOME) Icelanders - to whine about the "hate speech" and violence campaigns against the TRAlibans.

Here are some examples of the Trans-ideological meaning of "hate speech" when it comes to this "vulnerable" group:

- Words and statements that the TransChurch's high priests disagree with: Hate speech.

- Biological facts about the sexual dimorphism of humans and mammals: Hate speech.

- Definition of the word "woman" (adult, female human being): Hate speech.

- Do you disagree with anything on the TRAlibans' wish list - such as gender reassignment surgeries (on minors)? Hate speech.

- Do you disagree that taxpayers should pay for such cosmetic surgeries? Hate speech.

- Do you oppose men competing in women's sports? Hate speech.

- Are you opposed to men being allowed to serve their sentences in women's prisons? Hate speech.

- Are you opposed to men being allowed to be stay in women's shelters? Hate speech.

Unfortuntely for the TRAlibans, trans ideology evaporates in face of the truth.

Yeah, what a shame. It never occurs to them that all of those things are hatred against women. They only think of themselves, but you know this. We just have to keep pointing out, not to them, but to the public, how women aren't being considered in each of these, and what women's perpsective is on each of these. They show things through their lens, we need to show their actions through the lens through which women see and experience their trampling of our rights. Thank you for your wonderful, courageous work. And bravo for getting stories on this published.

Hi! Wonderful article so far, and no doubt it will be so to the end. For all of us concerned, it is very informative and important to hear news about the trans dilemma from all countries that are suffering from it. However, I just noticed something that is an understandable error... When you said the NYT wrote about the "transgender soul," I feel pretty certain that that article was referring to American "soul" music, not to the concept of the "transgender human soul," and the soul singer, Jackie Shane, who was "transgender" during the 1960s. It could easily be that the NYT writes elsewhere about there being such a thing as "the transgender soul," that is so fashionable (and bogus) nowadays, and it wouldn't surprise me at all, but I don't think that that particular article is an example of that.

It's out of admiration that I am writing to you about this, and also I'm coming from a work background of proof-reading! I read other writers' articles with a similar eye, not meant to offend. Also I grew up in the United States during the 1960s and loved soul music (never heard of that particular singer, though), so I have that familiarity with the topic. So please forgive me if this comment seems a tad bold or rude. In any case, all the best to you from your fan, Mildred

Thank you so much! "New York Times Magazine described Walter Freeman's lobotomy as the “surgery of the soul” "...the sexed body reveals a sexed soul...” New York Times (1936 Britannica I, II). https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/americanexperience/films/lobotomist/

No problem. So many lobotomies done in all those years, so many tragedies. It was a way to "fix" the person without actually dealing with the root cause of the mental illness. Much like transgender medical treatments and surgeries, not wanting to actually find out why people are so uncomfortable in their own natural bodies. Thank you for your writings and I wish good luck for Iceland! The US definitely needs good luck to combat gender ideology harms, so many are captured by it here.
